Marieke Ebbing
Marieke gained hands on experience in Uganda by working in the microfinance organization (SYPO) that will be our main partner. She has a strong working relationship with the founder of SYPO.
Her Africa experience is not limited to this, she also taught entrepreneurship in Senegal. She founded a non-profit strategy consultant organization and led its growth to over 100 people in 7 different cities.
In addition, Marieke has over 2 years of consultancy experience in the McKinsey Amsterdam office. She worked at Shell (Amsterdam) for over a year.
Lisette Steins
Lisette has two bachelor degrees (European Studies; Economics and Business) and three master degrees (Int. Relations; Int. Political Economy, MBA). During her studies she focused on economic development and wrote a bachelor thesis on the impact of microfinance.
During her internship at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the United Nations, she organized a seminar on inclusive finance for the UN Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance Queen Máxima.
At McKinsey and Company, she worked mostly in the energy sector both in Europe and Africa.
Mehmet Energin
Mehmet has over 2.5 years of consultancy experience in McKinsey being based in Istanbul Office and working across Europe. He mainly focused on public & social sector studies.
He did his MSc in Oxford focusing on Development Studies and worked in UNDP Kosovo as a policy analyst where he contributed to the Early Warning Reporting System.
He also worked part time for several Brookings Institution projects during his time at McKinsey.
Sebastian Bak
Sebastian holds two engineering degrees (Mechanical; Industrial Management) and extensive volunteer experience, including fund rising, management positions and field work in Ethiopia. Some of the NGOs he has worked for are BCG-Colabora, Living Meki, Intermón Oxfam and GALA.
He also has entrepreneurial experience and has started already 2 successful business ventures.
In addition, Sebastian has worked 2 years for Procter & Gamble as a Finance Manager and 3 years for The Boston Consulting Group as a consultant
